Location
Plac Wolności 6 is located in an extremely attractive area, near one of the most characteristic squares of Poznań's city center, inside the block between Plac Wolności and the streets of św. Marcin and Ratajczaka. Plac Wolności is a central point on the map of Poznań and the only such facility being built so close to the Old Market. It is a place surrounded by cinemas, theaters, museums, galleries, as well as good restaurants, cafes, and pubs. Plac Wolności is a space known for many significant and valued cultural events, festivals, exhibitions, concerts. The exceptional character of this place is also shaped by its historical context and its closest neighborhood. It was at this address, in 1899/1900, at the then Wilhelmowski Square 6, that the Michaelis & Kantorowicz department store, designed by architect Teodor Jaretzki, was established. In 1927, one of the largest and most modern cinemas in Poland and Europe, Kino Słońce, a creation of merchant Kałamajski, was established here. Today, the closest neighbors of the ongoing investment are the University Library and the iconic Kino Muza. It is worth mentioning that each floor of the investment refers to the film historical context through interior design and detail.
